Values
The ultimate value we have at GracePoint is cherishing the presence of God. Everything else flows from a place of knowing and being known by God intimately. We are called human beings, as such it is important for us to ‘be’ in the presence of God, before we go about doing the things God desires us to do or before we seek the ‘presents’ (gifts) of God.

It is our belief that out of the overflowing of presence with God, all else flows. If we are not functioning from a healthy, intimate, passionate relationship with God, then it is likely we are functioning out of our own strength or relying on external resources to keep us spiritually fresh and alive. It’s kind of like breathing ourselves or relying on a life support system to keep us alive. Presence with God, keeps us spiritually fresh, healthy and alive in Christ.

Another value we want to draw particular attention to is the word of God. God has given us His word, but as important as God’s word is, it is more important for us to connect with the author of the word, than the word itself. We meditate, read and reflect on the written word in order to encounter the ‘living word’. Developing relationship with the author is a higher priority that the written word.

It is in this context GracePoint highly values the word of God. The foundation of scripture is an assumed value when the values of GracePoint are stated.
